All six situations

Assisted living & memory care

The right community, not just the one with a bed.

Orange County has hundreds of licensed options, from large communities to six-bed board and care homes on quiet streets. We narrow them to the few that fit the care needs, the budget, and the person, and we know who actually has room.

Always free to families.

Communities

“It might be time for more support.”

Know the options

What each kind of community does.

  • Independent living

Apartment living with meals, activities, and transportation. No hands-on care.

  • Assisted living

Help with daily activities and medications in a community setting, licensed in California as an RCFE.

  • Board & care homes

Residential homes with a handful of residents and more one-on-one attention. Often overlooked, often a great fit.

  • Memory care

Secured, specially staffed settings for Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

  • Skilled nursing & rehab

Short-term rehab after a hospital stay, or long-term nursing care when medical needs are high.

  • Hospice in place

Most communities can bring hospice to the resident so they don’t have to move again.

How we help you choose

Fewer tours. Better ones.

  1. A real assessment first

Care needs, memory, mobility, budget, and what matters to the person moving.

  2. A short list with real availability

Only places that fit and have room, not a brochure pile.

  3. Tours with the right questions

Staffing, level-of-care fees, what triggers a move-out, and what the monthly bill really includes.

  4. Help with the house left behind

Sell, rent, or borrow against it. We’re licensed in all three.

    Paying for care

How we are paid

Free to families, and open about why.

Our help is free to families. Some communities and providers pay us a referral fee when a family we’ve helped moves in. It does not change what you pay, and it does not decide our recommendation. Ask us about it anytime.
